At 34, the Bombay Bomber is just like old wine - he only seems to be getting better with each passing year.

So, carrying the burden of a billion expectations once again, Tendulkar heads into his fifth, and many speculate, final World Cup with his fans praying for a repeat of his form from the 2003 edition.

"I would want to get into a good rythym as early as possible and throughtout the tournament. There are no easy games. Whatever opportunities we get we want to make the most of it. We do not want to leave any room for complacency," said Tendulkar.

Tendulkar has nearly 15,000 runs from 381 ODIs including 41 centuries. He also has the most World Cup runs at just over 1700, nearly 700 of them came in 2003 alone when he was the Man of the Series.

What's telling though is the fact that in all these records, he's miles ahead of second place - 18 centuries ahead of ahead of Ricky Ponting and just over 3000 runs ahead of Inzamam-ul-Haq.

Tendulkar also doubles up as a useful bowler in the middle overs and is just three short of taking 150 ODI wickets.

Skipper Rahul Dravid will certainly rely on his deputy on the slow wickets in the Caribbean.

"It kind of helps to be an irregular bowler. You can always be unpredictable. As a part time bowler I want to introduce an element of surprise. My responsibilities are totally differnt from Anil's (Kumble) so I can afford to do that," he said.

MUST READ

O lny srmat poelpe can raed tihs.

cdnuolt blveiee taht I cluod aulaclty uesdnatnrd waht I was rdanieg.
